KIRSTY MACDONALD MELLOR
Fluent in English, French and Spanish, Kirsty has over twenty years of international experience in the field (Africa, Latin America, Asia) working for and with international entities including international organisations and actors in the private sector and civil society. This experience has been acquired over 23 years working in fragile and conflict affected contexts as well as G7 capitals, including 18 years with the International Committee of the Red Cross, 5 years with the United Nations and NGOs and 2 years at the Human Rights Committee of the Bar of England and Wales on issues related to good governance, justice and the rule of law including land rights, labour rights and trafficking, forced displacement, exploitation of minorities (children, women, migrants, indigenous communities), transparency of arms trade, disinformation, corruption and accountability.
Educated at Oxford, with a European MA in International Human Rights and Humanitarian Law, Kirsty has a detailed technical and practical knowledge of sustainable development objectives and solid field experience with affected communities and populations. She has a demonstrated ability to steer capacity building and rights-holders centred projects with multi-dimensional, multi-regional and cross-functional implementation, often leading change management in politically complicated local contexts. In parallel, she has proven experience of conducting bilateral dialogue on sensitive issues and successful stakeholder engagement working with a multitude of stakeholders and bringing them together around common objectives.
